How to surrender your Lab to LRR

Our goal is to find an excellent home for your Lab.

We try to serve the Lab's best interest and are not in the "judgment business." The surrender and placement needs of each Lab are handled on a case-by-case basis.

What is the process?

After we receive your application, we will call you to schedule an appointment for your Lab to go to a foster home.

At the foster home, you will sign a contract surrendering ownership of the Lab to Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc. A $50 donation is requested at this time.

What happens to my Lab in foster care?

In the foster home, your Lab will have frequent human attention, supervised play with other Labs in a fenced-in area, dog toys to play with, and adequate exercise.

Throughout your Lab's foster stay, we will temperament test and monitor behavior to help find the best new home for your Lab.

How do you ensure my Lab goes to a good home?

Our adopters are carefully screened by a written application, phone interview, and home study.
